From Product Idea to Mass Production: The Electric Toothbrush OEM / ODM Process
Understand the electric toothbrush OEM/ODM process from project brief and feasibility through samples, tooling, testing, final approval, production, QC, and packaging.
An OEM or ODM project becomes easier to manage when both sides understand what has to be confirmed before the next stage begins.
The exact sequence varies by product and customization scope, but a useful buyer-side framework is:
brief → feasibility → design confirmation → sample or prototype → tooling where needed → testing and modification → final sample → production → quality inspection and packaging.
1. Start With a Clear Project Brief
A useful brief should cover product type, target market, positioning, must-have features, preferred specifications, customization level, packaging requirements, quantity context, desired timing, and known compliance requirements. 2. Confirm the Cooperation Route

3. Feasibility and Scope Review

6. Tooling Development and Sampling

9. Production, Quality Inspection, and Packaging
Mass production introduces repeatability. The question becomes whether the approved specification can be reproduced consistently across the production batch.
